Art Show Online Gallery

This year past summer, Second Mile decided to do a series focusing on Jesus. We'd experienced books of the Bible together before, but we wanted to look directly at the heart of the story. As we were figuring out the particulars, we thought this would be a good time to try something we had hoped to put on since Second Mile began: an art show. We knew about Jesus's prevalence in artwork throughout history, but we wanted to give our community a chance to create and view work made by artists with contemporary media and mindsets.

We started our series, and, a couple of weeks later, we put the notice out about the show. We asked for art. We got it. So, on a Friday night, we transformed a fellowship hall into an art gallery. We put some green apple sodas and sparkling pomegranate juices on ice, filled a few bowls with chips and salsa, and invited anybody and everybody to come and see some art. Now we've created an online version of that evening. No, there are no sodas or sparkling juices, but it is the same art. Enjoy.
