Jonah

What is more far-fetched, a man swallowed by a fish or the turning of an entire people toward their Creator? Or that the man God chose to nudge the city of Ninevah toward his ways runs from Him and lets his cultural bias stand between the people of the city and their Father? This is more than magical-realism, headline news, fable, fairy tale, or fiction. Jonah is a story that illuminates our own lives and asks how far our vision of God's love stretches, who are we counting out that God wants to draw close to Him.
