Leaders of Second Mile

Please pray that the leaders of Second Mile will continue to become the leaders God intends them to be and they will serve in their God-given roles, rejecting the lure of pride through position. Ask God to infuse their lives with character traits that glorify Him and point people to Jesus.

Below are nine character traits to pray into our leaders’ lives. Pray for each person in the way the Holy Spirit leads you.

Integrity, Security in Christ, Purity, Humility, Servanthood, Wisdom, Discipline, Courage, Passion for Jesus and those they lead

Volunteers
God uses many volunteers in our church to build up and edify our body. Without volunteers kids wouldn’t be taken care of on Sundays, music wouldn’t be played, finances wouldn’t be kept, hospitality wouldn’t be given, candles wouldn’t be set up, trash wouldn’t be taken out, and burdens would be huge on just a few people. Thank you for volunteering. Please take time to thank God for the people in our church that serve the body and understand we each have different gifts according to the grace given us (Romans 12:6) and desire to serve and not to be served (Mark 10:24). Ask God to build up the volunteers into people of character, to mold them into his likeness, and stir hearts to continue to serve His body.
